He began his career as a pharmacist before transitioning into actuarial science after earning earning a first-class MSc in Computer Science. While working in capital management, he also completed several actuarial exams, deepening his quantitative skills. With eight years of experience in backend and platform engineering, Tom now blends technical depth with commercial insight. He is currently completing an MBA at Warwick Business School, specialising in entrepreneurship and innovation.

With 13 years of experience in leading tech companies like Amazon and Groupon, Riccardo has built a strong reputation as an exceptional engineer, particularly during his time in Dublin. Riccardo’s expertise in software architecture and distributed systems ensures that our platform remains at the forefront of technological innovation. He is a true craftsman with a meticulous eye for detail, consistently delivering clean, scalable solutions. He holds first-class honours degrees in Computer Science from the University of Rome “Sapienza,” where he specialised in distributed systems and software architecture.

Mara brings a strong cross-disciplinary background in finance and technology, with a focus on Big Data and AI in the financial sector. She holds a First-Class Honours degree in Big Data and AI, a Bachelor’s in Telecommunications Engineering, and a Diploma in Accountancy, along with several postgraduate diplomas in Data Analytics, AI, and Business Administration. At PractiKal, she leads finance, compliance, and operational oversight, ensuring the business runs smoothly while supporting strategic decision-making.
